Introducing Logistick  

Logistick is a freight securement company, manufacturing niche products and designing custom solutions. Founded in 1990 by Tom Kanczuzewski, Tom realized there was a big challenge around economically securing loads from manufacturers. He knew that there had to be a more economical way to secure shipments, and thus, Logistick was founded. Logistick now manufactures many one-way freight securement systems to prevent longitudinal and lateral movement.

In terms of sustainability and ESG, this has been a critical topic at Logistick. There has always been a goal around reducing waste in the freight and transportation market. Sustainability has become a big focus of the organization, finding ways to reduce environmental footprint. They are now enhancing their efforts to minimize their footprint by becoming more sustainable as an organization, from top to bottom. While they’ve recently been focused on securing the future of customers by improving efficiencies through innovation, with the launch of their new sustainability initiative SECURE GREEN, they will help secure a sustainable future for all. Being operationally carbon neutral is a big goal for the organization and something they are seeking through partnerships and new software. They are also in the process of trying to create a circular system with their manufacturing. Collecting used parts from their customers, grinding and treating them back to quality so it can be used as feedstock for new products.


The Challenge

Logistick faced a challenge that many organizations struggle with today. With a growing list of goals and metrics to track around sustainability and ESG, they were stuck with manual processes and Excel spreadsheets. Trying to track countless sustainability metrics on top of action items, goals, and various other KPIs the current processes were prone to error and took more time than necessary to complete.

Ultimately, Logistick needed an agile platform that could help keep track of their metrics, critical tasks, and all KPIs. The end goal being to remove Excel sheets all together, build transparency, and improve overall efficiency.


The Solution

To solve the challenges Logistick was facing, they decided to adopt Sustaira’s Sustainability and ESG Goals and KPI Tracker application. The Sustaira Goals & KPI application is designed to get an organization’s business up and running quickly with pre-built projects and tracking KPI related to their sustainability initiatives. This app is tied to the U.N. sustainable development goals, and allows users to assess the impact and ease of change using the built-in QuickStart Survey. In this survey, a user will select the goals that they are most interested in as a company and then it offers a buffet of pre-configured projects and KPI based on their selections that they can quickly add to their sustainability roadmap. The Projects and KPI module also allows for the creation of custom projects and KPI over, and above the Sustaira generated suggestions.

Now, Tyler and his team can not only add their current metrics, critical tasks and KPIs to the application, but as they begin to make progress they have a future proof platform that can help them grow as they move through their sustainability journey. The application is now replacing the existing Excel spreadsheets and provides a user-friendly space where Logistick can get a holistic view of their sustainability progress.
