United Nations Offers FREE Sustainability Courses

The United Nations, commonly known in the world of Sustainability and ESG for their leadership and advocacy in promoting sustainability particularly through their 17 Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) also offers completely free sustainability classes to all who would like to learn more! The United Nations has created what they call the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC). The UNSSC houses over 100 courses with topics to choose from that include but are not limited to: Diversity, equity and inclusion, sustainable development goals, stakeholder engagement, climate change, human rights, women leadership, and more.

The UNSSC, originally founded in 2002 has been adapting and growing every year to ensure that those who use these courses are getting the most accurate information around the most important topics to all stakeholders. According to their website,

The UNSSC is an open, dynamic and engaged community committed to innovative learning and training programmes focused on public policy.  We create high-quality learning experiences for professionals, positioning them to be outstanding leaders and effective problem solvers.

With over 100 courses each year that are offered to over 15,000 professionals, the UNSSC offers courses both in person and online and allow the users to pick their paths and do what best fits them individually and their organization. This includes tailor made learning paths where their team of experts collaborates with an organization to co-create curricula and experiences.
